Who the f*ck is Flower Mouth?

Flower Mouth is a DIY alternative psych rock n’ roll band from Bloomington, Indiana, formed in 2017. The band (Eddy Gonzo, Jonathan Van Hecke, Chris Koj, Blake McKean) built its following through Midwest house shows, basement parties, backyards, and small club rooms, all starting in their own basement at their legendary house show venue the “Rat House”. Their live set is loud, high-energy, and guitar-driven, built around extended, psychedelic jams and their catalog of basement rock anthems. Musically, Flower Mouth blends garage rock, blues, psychedelia, Latin influence, and classic 50s–70s rock n’ roll. Flower Mouth established themselves in a music scene driven by dreampop, punk, and metal, carving out their own lane with riff-heavy songs and improvisational live performances.

After stepping back from live shows during the pandemic, Flower Mouth didn’t disappear. They spent the last several years writing, rebuilding, and recording the songs that originally built their name in the Midwest DIY circuit. 2026 marks their first official studio releases on all platforms and their first focused return to touring since 2019. With two full-length records finished and a set that’s tighter, louder, and more intentional than ever, this is the year of their long-awaited return.

Flower Mouth helped build an unforgettable underground scene through consistent house shows, basement parties, and packed local bar gigs. They have been fortunate enough to play for thousands of people in the Midwest area. Over time that turned into a loyal network of Midwest misfits who still follow the band. With new records landing in 2026, they are excited to achieve new heights with their community and pack out independent rooms across the region for their reunion shows and album releases.
